I started sneezing a couple days ago, sore throat, itchy mouth, and coughing the last two nites, no good sleep. Coughing so hard I am vomiting. Mucus, took Muscinix DM (12 hour) at noon but not helping at all. Running fever between 98-100 where my normal is in the 97.3 area. Drinking a lot of fluids because of the Muscinix. Not sure if this is allergic reaction to the smoke from the wood stove from a couple days ago, or a sinus infection. My face has a lot of pressure around the eyes, nose, under eyes, along with bad headache on left side of my head. I am sensitive to mold but I am really on the ball about it in the house, except for wood that comes in, but hubby is good about only bringing in what we need to burn right at that moment. NO fire today. Now my back and gut hurt from vomiting, or dry heaves and head hurts more from the coughing. Dr. doesn t have an on-call dr and not sure If I should go to emergency room. This happened in Dec. and lasted a whole month until I went to dr. They put me on antibiotics, steroids, and Tessalon pills and it finally went away. Allergic to Tylenol, but take Ibuprofen. The cough is deep from my chest. I take Actos for diabetes ( do not prick fingers yet, diabetes is under control 5.3 A1C last blood draw), water pill once a day, Losartan w/ potassium and a potassium pill as well for my normal prescriptions every day. I have only taken one Tessalon today so far, but doesn t seem to be helping. Nose if stuffy now. Seems more like a sinus infection/cold /allergy situation to me. But I am freezing and chilling. Just not sure if this is an emergency situation for the hospital. Just know I am having trouble breathing, and I am 68 years old with chronic sinus problems. Ears hurt but they are open, and they drained a few days ago. I guess what I need to know should I tough it out one more day, and call Dr. in the a.m. or go to emergency room, especially if temps go up higher.
